Restructuring, insolvency law
and self-administration

LECON specialises in corporate crises. We analyse quickly, decide clearly and implement – with legal certainty and measurable results.

At LECON, lawyers and business economists work on the same case. This allows us to assess viability for restructuring and the choice of procedure from a single source – from both a legal and a business perspective.

We keep advisory work and administration strictly separate. Whoever advises your company will not take on the office of administrator or custodian in the same matter – and vice versa. What remains is the experience gained from both roles; what is ruled out is the conflict of interest.

Experience

Complex proceedings

Several locations, companies and stakeholders: proceedings in which we implemented a restructuring in self-administration.

Self-administration · Automotive

Automotive industry company with around 250 employees at several locations

Initial situation A major customer significantly reduced its call-off orders. Framework agreements with minimum staffing levels prevented the workforce from being adjusted – one site was making losses that threatened its existence.
Procedure Self-administration with an orderly run-out of production and closure of the loss-making site, accompanied by an insolvency plan.
Outcome The profitable sites were continued and the restructuring targets were achieved within the planned time frame. The plan made a larger social plan volume possible for the employees affected.
Sector experience Mechanical engineering Retail and trade Health care and nursing care Real estate Tech companies Automotive
